Associate Employees or Spaces to Assets

Assets can be associated with employees and spaces. For example, multiple employees may need Ergo Chairs at their workspaces. You can complete this via:

Your spaces can have assets associated with them. For example, some of your hoteling desks will be a sit-stand desk and when this asset is associated with the space then your employees to be able to quickly find these when making a booking. You can complete this via:

Associate Employees or Spaces to Asset Manually

From the main menu, click Manage manage_icon.png icon and then click the Assets tab. Here you'll find a complete list of assets.

From the asset list, click on the Asset Name. The asset details dialog displays.

To add an employee, click the + Employee button, or to add a space, click the + Space button.

In this example, after the +Employee button was clicked the employee search displays. In the search field, enter the employee's name and then select their name.

Note: Remove an employee or space, select an entry and then click the X icon and you can remove employees or spaces in bulk. Select multiple entries and then click the Remove button.

Associate Employee to Assets in Bulk via an Import

Follow the steps to associate the employee with an asset(s).

Step 1. Create a CSV file

Import File Format

The import must be set up as a CSV and contain the following columns:

Column Name Description Column Required?
Employee Email Employee's company email. Yes
Asset Name

Either:

  • Leave blank if you want the asset(s) to be removed from the employee.
  • Enter the asset's name to associate the asset with the employee.

Step 2. Import the CSV File

From the main menu, click Manage manage_icon.png icon and then click the Assets tab.

Click the More Actions more_actions_icon.png icon and then select Import Assets.

When prompted, you can upload the CSV file, do this either drag and drop the CSV file on to dialog or click the browse link to navigate to and select the CSV file.

The CSV file is ready to be imported.

Click the Import button. The data from the import will be merged with the existing data.

You'll see an import summary when the import is complete.

Step 3. Check the Import History

If need you can view your neighborhood assignment import history.

Click the More Actions more_actions_icon.png icon and then select Import Assets.

From the Import Assets dialog, click the Import History link to display the history.
