Set up Health Screenings

When your business needs to ensure that employees are healthy before coming into the office, you can use SiQ's Health Screening so your employees can confirm that they are symptom-free well before check-in time.

Step 1. Turn on Health Screening

From the SiQ Web App, complete the following.

  1. In the top-right corner, click your username and then click Settings.
  2. From the left menu, click Desk Booking Settings.
  3. For Health Screening, click the setting to toggle it ON.


Your Health Screening settings will expand. Use the expanded settings to set up timed email alerts and customize your Health Check messages. 

Step 2. Set up Timed Email Alerts

You control the timing of Health Screening email alerts in Desk Booking Settings. 

Step 2.1 Set up When Employees Receive Health Checks

This setting controls when employees receive an email reminder and can complete their Health Check.


  1. Select the number of hours before the booking time that an employee can complete their Health Check. At that time, the employee will receive an email reminder to complete their Health Check.
  2. Click Save on the lower-right when you're done making changes. 

For example, if you select 12 hours before booking time, an employee with a booking at Tuesday 10:00 am booking will receive a reminder email at 10:00 pm reminding them to complete their Health Check. When they complete their Health Check, they can proceed to check-in anytime before their booking. 

Step 2.2 Set up Admin "Failure to Check-In" Emails

If an employee fails to complete their Health Check, all admins and local admins receive an email alerting them that "Employee hasn't submitted Health Status." 

The timing of employee Health Check email reminders and admin "failure to check-in" email alerts are related. In the Admin email alert setting, you choose the number of hours an employee has to complete their Health Check after receiving it. 

This is what the email alert setting looks like:


  1. Select the amount of time sufficient for the employee to confirm their Health Check, and enough time for an admin to cancel the booking and free up hotel desk space.
  2. Click Save on the lower-right when you're done making changes. 

For example, you may set your admin email alerts to be sent 11 hr after Health Check enablement. So, an employee with a booking on Tuesday at 10:00 am has from 10:00 pm the evening before through 9:00 am the next morning to complete their health screening. If the employee fails to complete their health screening by 9:00 am, you'll receive an email alert that gives you an hour before check-in to cancel the booking.

Now you can choose to keep or cancel the booking, see Cancel a Booking in SiQ Web App.

Step 3. Customize Health Check Content

We provide default settings for your Health Checks, but you can customize both the health check message text and the confirmation button.


In the Text on Message field, customize the Health Check content. Notes:

  • There is no limit on the number of characters entered.
  • If you need to link to an external URL then a hyperlink be added. For example: PPlease refer to our
    <a href="" target="_blank">Health Check policy</a>

In the Confirmation Button Text field, customize the confirmation button text.

When you're finished making changes, click the Save button.
